Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Vantaj (“the Service”), operated by Blockworm Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England and Wales.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Vantaj is a logistics tracking platform that allows users to log, document, and reconcile physical items using QR codes. It is designed for humanitarian aid organisations, small businesses, and individuals who need to track items in transit.

The Service is provided as-is and is currently in beta. Features may change, be added, or be removed. We will give reasonable notice of significant changes.

2. Accounts

To access most features, you must register with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it.

We use a magic link system – no password is stored. You are responsible for keeping your login email account secure.

You must not create accounts for others without their consent, or use the Service on behalf of an organisation without appropriate authority.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Store or transmit unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent content
• Document the movement of illegal goods or substances
• Upload unlawful images or content
• Impersonate another person or organisation
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
• Interfere with the operation of the Service or other users’ access to it
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service without permission

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. A suspended account retains read access to existing records but cannot log new items, delete records, or access paid features.

4. Your data

You own the data you enter into Vantaj. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your batch records, item descriptions, or photos.

By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

You are responsible for ensuring that any personal data you enter about third parties (such as recipients or volunteers) complies with applicable data protection law, including UK GDPR.

5. HS codes and customs documentation

Vantaj provides suggested HS (Harmonized System) commodity codes as a convenience feature to assist with customs documentation. These codes are provided in good faith based on general product descriptions, but:

• They may not be accurate for your specific goods or jurisdiction
• You are responsible for verifying HS codes with a qualified customs agent before use in official declarations
• We accept no liability for customs delays, penalties, or issues arising from the use of HS codes provided by Vantaj

6. Tiers and payment

Vantaj offers free and paid tiers. Prices are displayed on the pricing page and are quoted in GBP. VAT is not currently charged, but may be added in future if required by applicable law. We will give 30 days’ notice to existing paid subscribers of any price changes.

Paid tiers are currently activated manually. Automated payment processing is not yet available.

7. Availability and data integrity

We make reasonable efforts to keep the Service available and your data safe. We take daily backups and monitor the Service for issues. However, as with any software service, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability or complete protection against data loss.

We recommend maintaining your own copies of critical records, particularly before convoy departures or other time-sensitive operations.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Blockworm Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data or records
• Customs delays or penalties arising from documentation produced using the Service
• Business interruption or loss of revenue
• Any reliance on the accuracy of HS codes or other automatically generated information

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Intellectual property

The Vantaj name, logo, software, and documentation are the property of Blockworm Ltd. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from them without our written permission.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at guy@vantaj.uk. We will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the breach.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
